Born in NJ, Laurie knew the welcoming community of the Triangle area of North Carolina was where she wanted to raise her family. She and her husband moved to Raleigh more than 22 years ago, and this wonderful place with its warm, welcoming people has become her “forever” home. The Triangle is where her two children were born and raised, and her extended family have come to live.
Laurie’s first and foremost passions are connecting people with people, and people with resources. As a special needs parent, Laurie learned the importance of advocacy and negotiation, and in order to best serve her daughter’s needs, she became well versed in both. In addition, she has over 20 years combined sales, customer service, marketing, management and training experience. She’s passionate about keeping informed and sharing her knowledge with those she serves.

In addition to her passion for serving clients, Laurie loves reading and volunteering. She founded a book club 17 years ago that continues to meet, eat, read and laugh together. She believes strongly in the importance of giving back to her community. She volunteers her time as a Board member for Helping Horse Therapeutic Riding Program, and Chairperson for her local high school’s Parent Teacher Organization and two Athletic Booster Committees, as well as supporting local dog rescue, Saving Grace Animals for Adoption. Walking her two sweet rescue pups is a great way to enjoy the beauty of the area’s neighborhoods and parks.
