o Raleigh’s Tobacco Road Sports Cafe Re-opens in New Historic Powerhouse Building

Adds Raleigh Brewery, Large-scale meeting space and Arcade to offerings

If watching your favorite sports teams while enjoying the best in North Carolina brews and southern fair is your idea of a good time, than you’re in for a treat.  The Triangle’s own Tobacco Road group of restaurants has gone bigger and better, moving from their previous location at

222 Glenwood Avenue to the historic Powerhouse building just over the tracks from Glenwood at 505 West Jones Street.

General Manager and Co-owner Alex Amra recently gave me a tour of the new digs, which opened in early January 2017 after renovating this historic space over the last few months.  o (2)

“We really opened it up, making one ½ of the restaurant perfect for large gatherings.”

The place is enormous, with over 12,000 square feet of space, making it the ideal downtown Raleigh venue for large corporate events, business presentations, or sports, birthday and graduation parties.  Feeling competitive?  Grab friends and check out their large game room, complete with skeeball, NBA hoops, pool, and Mortal Combat – just to name a few!
Now known as Tobacco Road Sports Cafe & Brewery, their own line of brews will hit the menu by early spring.   Call 919.995.4384 to book your next Raleigh corporate event, party or to inquire about catering!  o (1)
