Joy fell in love with North Carolina while on a road trip when she was 13 years old and made it her goal to one day live in this great state. She was born in Detroit, Michigan and raised in Boca Raton, Florida. She lived in downtown Chicago for 4 cold and snowy years before moving to the Triangle in 2004 to work at Duke University. Joy spent 10 years working at both Duke and UNC before returning to school full time. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology in May 2020 from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Joy lives with her boyfriend Derrick near downtown Durham. In her free time, you can find her enjoying the Triangle’s amazing local restaurants, hiking at the Eno River, or soaking up the beauty of North Carolina’s mountains and beaches. She obtained her real estate license in September and is excited to embark on the new adventures that lie ahead in residential real estate at Hunter Rowe.
